Health Anxiety
Panic Attacks
Specific Phobia

Agoraphobia
PTSD

What methods are used in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy?
In CBT, we use research-based methods. In CBT therapy, clients are given methods and tools to manage their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in a more effective way, thereby creating the life they desire.
The work in therapy is goal-oriented, and clients are often given assignments between sessions. These might involve, for example, noting down their thoughts in a particular situation, or listening to an audiobook with facts about the challenges they are facing. The assignments are tailored to reinforce the work done in therapy.
We offer CBT-based psychotherapy and rehabilitative psychotherapy—KELA therapy —at our in-person and online clinics. We also offer CBT-based counseling and coaching, as well as CBT-based psychotherapy for clients with a Palse service voucher.
Option for a free 30-minute introductory consultation
There are many different forms of psychotherapy in addition to the one we offer (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, CBT). As a client, it can therefore be difficult to know which form of therapy is recommended for your specific diagnosis or diagnoses.
For many clients, it is also crucial that they perceive their therapist as empathetic and that they feel heard. Therefore, it may be helpful to have a brief initial meeting to learn more about CBT as a form of psychotherapy.
We therefore offer a free 30-minute consultation during which we’ll tell you more about how we work and what we recommend for you as a client.
Palse Service Form
If you have been granted a Palse service voucher from HUS for psychotherapy using cognitive behavioral therapy, you can use it with us.
Feel free to book a 30-minute free consultation during which we’ll ensure that your payment arrangement complies with the service agreement we have with HUS.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
-
The reasons people contact us vary widely, and no two cases are alike. We offer everything from consultation and counseling to short-term and long-term therapy. We work with everything from individual therapy to parent coaching and couples therapy. We tailor each client relationship to your specific needs, which is why no two cases can be compared.
-
In CBT, the client plays an active role in the therapy, and we work actively to teach the client to manage their daily life and future in a more effective way than they currently do. In psychodynamic therapy, for example, a large part of the therapy focuses on reflecting on childhood. Since CBT requires working with childhood traumas that tend to cause problems for a client in daily life, we use schema therapy to actively change the schemas the client has learned during their own childhood.

A psychologist holds a master's degree in clinical psychology and focuses primarily on assessing and diagnosing conditions such as neurodevelopmental disorders and providing support with schoolwork.
A psychotherapist has a basic education in the healthcare field—such as a master’s degree in developmental psychology, or training as a psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse—but has since pursued further education to become a psychotherapist.
Both “psychologist” and “psychotherapist” are protected professional titles (the National Authority for Licensing and Supervision, formerly Valvira https://julkiterhikki.lvv.fi/).
