When can psychotherapy using CBT be helpful?

We offer CBT therapy for children, adolescents, adults, as well as couples and families.

CBT has a solid scientific basis and is used successfully to treat various anxiety disorders, such as:

  • Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)

  • Social Anxiety Disorder

  • Health Anxiety

  • Panic Attacks

  • Specific Phobia

  • Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

  • Agoraphobia

  • PTSD

CBT is also used to treat conditions such as:

  • Bipolar Disorder Types 1 and 2

  • psychotic disorders, borderline personality disorder

  • Neuropsychiatric disorders such as ADHD and autism spectrum disorder.

We also have experience working with people who have been subjected to emotional and physical abuse in their relationships and who struggle with various addictions.

What methods are used in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy?

In CBT, we use research-based methods. In CBT therapy, clients are given methods and tools to manage their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in a more effective way, thereby creating the life they desire.

The work in therapy is goal-oriented, and clients are often given assignments between sessions. These might involve, for example, noting down their thoughts in a particular situation, or listening to an audiobook with facts about the challenges they are facing. The assignments are tailored to reinforce the work done in therapy.

We offer CBT-based psychotherapy and rehabilitative psychotherapy—KELA therapy —at our in-person and online clinics. We also offer CBT-based counseling and coaching, as well as CBT-based psychotherapy for clients with a Palse service voucher.

Option for a free 30-minute introductory consultation

There are many different forms of psychotherapy in addition to the one we offer (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, CBT). As a client, it can therefore be difficult to know which form of therapy is recommended for your specific diagnosis or diagnoses.

For many clients, it is also crucial that they perceive their therapist as empathetic and that they feel heard. Therefore, it may be helpful to have a brief initial meeting to learn more about CBT as a form of psychotherapy.

We therefore offer a free 30-minute consultation during which we’ll tell you more about how we work and what we recommend for you as a client.

Palse Service Form

If you have been granted a Palse service voucher from HUS for psychotherapy using cognitive behavioral therapy, you can use it with us.

Feel free to book a 30-minute free consultation during which we’ll ensure that your payment arrangement complies with the service agreement we have with HUS.
